Jon Moxley Responds To Seth Rollins’ Criticism, Says He Was ‘Pretty Emotional’ During Jericho Podcast

Ahead of New Japan Pro-Wrestling’s G1 Climax, Jon Moxley was a guest on The Store Horsemen podcast. In it, he was asked about Seth Rollins’ recent comments saying that it was “a little presumptuous of him to get on a podcast and talk down about the company that gave him such opportunities.” While he didn’t bring up Rollins directly in his answer, it did give us a great glimpse into his current mental state.

Moxley begins his response by likening his situation to an episode of “Frasier.” In it, the dog Eddie is going through a bout with depression and nobody can figure out why he’s sad. In the end, they find his toy stuck in the couch and he winds up being fine instantly. Moxley likens that to his situation and says that he never realized how unhappy he was within WWE at first because he was “making a bunch of money and it seems like it’s going good.” However, now that he’s back on the indies and working for AEW and NJPW, he has “found my toy under the couch again.”

He then talks about the Jericho podcast and says that it was before he had started wrestling before. “It had just been months of me being silent while everybody else is talking about my career, my life and everything,” explained Moxley. “I just stayed silent the whole time. That was a frustrating time to hear everybody else talking about you when they don’t know what the f— they are talking about.” He then says that his first words was a “pretty emotional” moment and that he was “a little jumpy.”

He ends his answer by likening it to getting into an argument with your wife, then having sex, and then forgetting what you were even arguing about. “I could never replicate that podcast,” says Moxley. “It’s all good.”
