Jon Moxley and Tony Khan just made a big time donation to veteran Tennessee wrestler Don Wright after his family suffered a major house fire in Bristol, TN on the Fourth of July.
Wright, his wife and their five live-in grandchildren lost all of their belongings in the fire, including their car after what appeared to be due to electrical issues. Thankfully no injuries occurred, but after word got out about a GoFundMe being started for the family by Sandy’s friend and co-worker, Haley Whitley, Jon Moxley took notice and donated $5,000 to the fund. In addition to that, AEW President Tony Khan matched Mox’s donation, putting the fund over double it’s $5,000 goal. The two didn’t publicly reveal that they made any donation, but both their names are visible on the donation page.
A good friend of mine, and an amazing coworker, has lost her house and car this morning. She has 5 grandchildren, that all live with her, and they have lost everything. They only have the clothes on their backs right now and the food given to them by a neighbor. They need clothes, food, any appliances or furniture, and money to replace things. School will also be starting in a few months, and any help will be appreciated. They have no clue when their insurance may help them, and need any help until then. They believe the fire was caused by electrical issues, but will know more later. They were fortunate enough not to be in the house at the time. Sandy is an amazing person, and is always giving to her coworkers and her grandbabies. We would appreciate any help!!

According to Dave Meltzer, Don Wright still wrestles to this day in his 70s, even as recent as after the fire occurred. He reportedly had the option to not appear at the show, but Wright’s mentality was that he hasn’t missed a date in 55 years and he wasn’t going to start now. Wright is also the brother of the late wrestler, Ron Wright.
