205 Live Results (07/02/19): Mike Kanellis Comes Up Short Again, Tornado Tag Match Sees LHP Face Off With The Singh Brothers

Tonight’s episode of 205 Live promises to be a big one, as the company had not one, but two main event caliber matches, with a Tornado Tag Team match kicking things off as the first major match. The match saw the Lucha House Party taking on the Singh Brothers, and after weeks of feuding between the two groups, tensions were at an all-time high.

While the Lucha House Party had been losing to the Singh Brothers for some time throughout the last couple of weeks, it was Kalisto and his crew that managed to come away with a win this time. After managing to kick out of a couple of super kicks, Kalisto set up Metalik and Dorado for an elbow drop followed by the shooting star press. After landing both moves, the Lucha House Party was able to pin Samir and win via pinfall.

The final match of the night saw Jack Gallagher, Oney Lorcan, and Tony Nese taking on Drew Gulak, Ariya Daivari, and Mike Kanellis. Prior to the match, Kanellis said that he would not be accompanied to the ring by his wife, and promised to win the main event for her. Kanellis also didn’t seem too happy with 205 Live general manager Drake Maverick, and said that he would turn things around by coming away with a victory.

Unfortunately for Kanellis, luck was once again not on his side. In a match that featured tons of near pinfalls, Kanellis was unable to capitalize on an incredible chance to win. Towards the end of the match, Kanellis was knocked out of the ring by Lorcan, and the entire group of superstars ended up outside of the ring.

Although Kanellis wanted the win, it was Gallagher who surprised the crowd by fishing out an umbrella from under the ring and taking a dive onto everyone on the outside of the ring. With everyone incapacitated, Kanellis nearly stole a victory by blind-tagging himself in, but Tony Nese landed a vicious sunset driver on him, ending the match.
