Adam Page on Breaching the Main Event Scene, Growing Wrestling’s Audience

In a talk with the New York Post from days before this weekend’s Fyter Fest, AEW’s rising star Adam Page talked about finally being in title contention after an 11-year career in pro wrestling.

The past couple of years I’ve been one of the consistently over and hot guys, and in my entire time in Ring of Honor I’ve never had a world title shot and certainly not in New Japan either. So it is gratifying because here in this position with All Elite Wrestling to feel valued, I guess, maybe more so than I ever have been.

He believes that fans have seen him as a “kid” ever since joining Bullet Club in 2016, and he hopes that his matches in AEW can help change that perception.

Speaking of the promotion, “Hangman” also has a few words regarding All Elite Wrestling’s move to weekly TV this fall. “The real test for us and we all know this collectively, will be when TV starts and we’ll be in a different arena and a different city and a different state every single week.” Page feels confident about their chances, saying that today’s society will accept something in minutes rather than years due to its quality. “I feel like there are a whole lot of people who might be interested but who are just not watching now.”
