Eric Bischoff Advertised For This Week’s WWE SmackDown Live Taping; Paul Heyman Set To Be At RAW

Update: Paul Heyman is also being advertised locally for this week’s WWE RAW taping in Dallas using the same ‘see what’s in store’ call-to-action as Bischoff’s advertisement the following night.

Eric Bischoff‘s WWE return was confirmed yesterday and now it looks like we’ll see him appearing in some form at this week’s WWE SmackDown television taping.

Fans in the San Antonio area started receiving email blasts about this week’s show. Sylvester Aguirre and the team at the Sports Guys Talking Wrestling podcast sent us the following image showing Bischoff being advertised for Tuesday night’s taping at the AT&T Center.

Bischoff was named Executive Director of WWE SmackDown on Thursday, while Paul Heyman was named to the same position on WWE RAW. While the email blast doesn’t explicitly confirm Bischoff will appear on-screen at all, it was originally reported that the new roles are going to be full-time executive positions, but there were no plans at the time of publication for it to be a televised angle. WWE said the executive roles will see Heyman and Bischoff “oversee the creative development of WWE’s flagship programming and ensure integration across all platforms and lines of business” as well as providing two distinct creative processes for each show.

A WWE Championship match between Kofi Kingston vs. Dolph Ziggler, and Bayley vs. Charlotte Flair in a SmackDown Women’s Championship match are being advertised for the show. Finn Balor, Randy Orton, Kevin Owens, Ali, Andrade, Zelina Vega, Elias, R-Truth and Carmella are the other names included in the announcement as appearing on the show.
