Kofi Kingston Defeats Dolph Ziggler, Prevents Him From Getting Title Shot

After retaining his WWE Championship against Dolph Ziggler at WWE Stomping Grounds, Kofi Kingston was rewarded by being on the receiving end of a beatdown from Samoa Joe during last night’s Monday Night RAW. With a championship match set up between the two for WWE Extreme Rules, Ziggler wasn’t planning on missing out, and challenged the champion to a two-out-of-three falls match, with the stipulation that if Ziggler wins, he would be added to the Extreme Rules match.

Unfortunately for Ziggler, Kofi was able to jump out to an early lead thanks to his acrobatic abilities and quick thinking skills. After nearly succumbing to defeat multiple times, Ziggler was also able to snag a victory thanks to an incredible superkick from Ziggler. With things all evened up and a trip to Extreme Rules on the line, Ziggler and Kingston dug deep and channeled everything that they have during the match. As the pair traded near victories with each other, it was the WWE Champion who was able to come out on top. After both superstars missed their signature kicks, Kingston landed a Trouble in Paradise on Ziggler, knocking him out and giving Kingston the victory.
