After the unexpected passing of Ashley Massaro, the wrestling community – led by The Squared Circle Sisters – have come together to help the Massaro family. Taking to social media yesterday, Mick Foley announced that the GoFundMe campaign that was started has been completely funded.
YO ASHLEY…WE DID IT!
May this fund for your daughter Lexi assure that your magnificent light will continue to shine.
Thanks to everyone – the 2,800 who donated, and countless others who created awareness – for making this happen. My heart is full! pic.twitter.com/s5AwepNGOa— Mick Foley (@RealMickFoley) June 13, 2019
After the GoFundMe campaign was started, thousands of people poured in to help set up a college fund for Alexa Massaro, Ashley’s daughter. When Foley stepped in to help the cause, he offered wrestling watch parties for every $5,000 donation made, and thanks to his help, the fund has now been completely filled, with more than $100,000 being raised.
Foley thanked everyone who donated, pushing the final amount of people who donated to 2,800. The campaign is still ongoing but has been completely funded as of right now, but people looking to donate can still contribute to the cause by visiting here.
