WWE Super Showdown: Triple H vs. Randy Orton

Future WWE Hall Of Famers Triple H and Randy Orton met inside the ring yet again at WWE Super Showdown from Saudi Arabia. This was a long and grueling match for both men, who each got to hit their finishers for a few false finishes. However, it was an RKO from Orton in the end that ended Triple H’s night.

Randy Orton vs. Triple H

Orton and Triple H go back and forth trying to one-up each other with armlocks, then Orton finally knocks HHH down by punching him in the face. Orton stomps him and charges the corner, but HHH counters and goes back to attacking Orton’s left arm. They head outside and HHH slams Orton’s shoulder into the ring post, then Orton backdrops him on the commentary table and follows up by whipping him into the ring steps. Orton rolls him back inside the ring and starts stomping HHH’s left arm, then he applies a side headlock but HHH fights to his feet. Orton works to keep him grounded, but HHH finally makes a comeback and knocks Orton down before attempting a Pedigree. Orton blocks it and slingshots him into the turnbuckles, but HHH spins and hits a diving clothesline for two. HHH tries to go on the attack but Orton backdrops him and sets up for a hangman’s DDT on the apron, then dropkicks HHH after the DDT gets blocked.

HHH mounts a brief comeback before telling Orton he’s got two words for him, but ends up running right into a powerslam and Orton sets him up and connects with the hangman’s DDT. Orton is slow to get up and holds his left shoulder, but he goes to ‘that place’… and gets stopped short as HHH hits a spinebuster. Orton fights out of a side headlock, then they trade off on finisher attempts before Orton rolls through a pin attempt and hits a RKO for two. Orton goes for the punt kick but Triple H blocks it by grabbing his foot, then HHH connects with a Pedigree and gets a two count that wakes up the crowd. Both men make their way to the commentary table and Orton tries to backdrop him through it, but HHH slams him on top of it and follows up with three consecutive scoop slams on the table. He rolls Orton back in the ring and follows, and Orton hits a RKO (outta nowhere) to pick up the win.

Winner – Randy Orton
