New Japan Pro Wednesday (6/5) Best of Super Juniors, Moxley, Dominion, More

Best of Super Juniors Need To Watch Ratings

FIRST MATCH: Dragon Lee, Shota Umino & Titan vs. Ren Narita, Jonathan Gresham & Bandido

The first time that all three CMLL wrestlers in BOSJ share the ring, and the results are electric. Narita & Umino get a lot of shine in this match, and Gresham gets a fond farewell (for now) from the NJPW audience.

Need To Watch Rating: (5.0)

SECOND MATCH: Ryusuke Taguchi, Sho & Yoh vs. Taiji Ishimori, El Phantasmo & Robbie Eagles

One of the goofiest matches in NJPW history. This match has EVERYTHING: Shenanigans, tag moves, a thumb with poo on it. Definitely worth seeking out.

Need To Watch Rating: (7.5)

THIRD MATCH: Tomohiro Ishii, Toru Yano, Yoshi-Hashi, Jushin Thunder Liger & Tiger Mask vs. Minoru Suzuki, Zack Sabre Jr., Taichi, Douki & Yoshinobu Kanemaru

A shenanigan-filled brawl befitting of Suzuki-gun and whatever this CHAOS/Main Unit hybrid is.

Need To Watch Rating: (4.5)

FOURTH MATCH: Kota Ibushi, Togi Makabe, Tomoaki Honma & Toa Henare vs. Tetsuya Naito, SANADA, EVIL & BUSHI

Fun match that centers around Naito’s ongoing rivalry with Ibushi. Their final showdown before their Dominion match gives plenty of previews for the June 9th clash.

Need To Watch Rating: (4.4)

FIFTH MATCH: Rocky Romero & Kazuchika Okada vs. Brody King & Marty Scurll

Scurll and Okada’s first match since All In. Brody King continues to show the NJPW fanbase why he’s such a hot commodity in the States. Rocky Romero can’t have a bad match.

Need To Watch Rating: (6.5)

SIXTH MATCH: Hiroshi Tanahashi vs. Jay White

The greatest match that Tanahashi and White have had. White is truly growing into one of the world’s greatest heels, and Tanahashi’s role as Ace In Peril is unmatched.

Need To Watch Rating: (10.0)

IWGP United States Heavyweight Championship Match: Juice Robinson (c) vs. Jon Moxley

Jon Moxley’s first match outside of WWE sees him wrestle like a rabid animal, fresh off the leash, embodying his now-famous Nick Mondo-directed Prison Break video. Juice Robinson’s starmaking performance as well. Juice has been a solid hand in NJPW, but his fighting spirit has never been more on display than in this absolute war.

Need To Watch Rating: (10.0)

Best Of Super Junior Final: Shingo Takagi vs. Will Ospreay

Both men have been having MOTY candidates left and right during the tournament, leaving expectations high for this contest. All expectations are met and exceeded as the new Jr. Ace takes on the undefeated Dragon. A spectacular match, and a rare case of a tournament final that showcases two of the legitimately best wrestlers in the world.

Need To Watch Rating: (10.0)
