Chris Jericho Uses New Finisher To Defeat Kenny Omega At Double Or Nothing

Kenny Omega and Chris Jericho went to war for a second time and it lived up to the hype despite having to follow two fantastic bouts before it.

The bad blood was there from the start as neither forgot their first match in New Japan Pro-Wrestling. Omega went for a V-Trigger to finish off Jericho early, but the veteran wasn’t going to go out without a struggle. Mind games also went on early, as Jericho ringed the bell and declared himself the victor and threw Omega into the crowd and stole a cameraman’s camera in order to record his reaction.

However, Omega didn’t let these attempts to out-psyche him work as he battled his way back into the match. As this happened, Jericho decided to introduce a table into the match, but it didn’t work to his favor. While it busted up Omega’s nose, he managed to hit Jericho with it several times and even springboarded onto it to really hurt the WWE veteran. He then set it up outside, which would become important later on.

Jericho battled his way back into the match and the two traded a series of holds and maneuvers. The back-and-forth came to an end after Jericho tossed Omega over the ropes and onto the same table that he had setup a few minutes earlier. A sprongboard dropkick by Jericho also furthered the momentum in the veteran’s favor. This was followed up by a code breaker from the top, but it wasn’t enough to put away Omega.

Both men traded even more blows and were fighting through fatigue as the battle wore on. Jericho longed in his signature submission, but Omega managed to roll onto his back and out of the Walls of Jericho. Omega took this opportunity to land a V-Trigger and tried to finish his foe off with a One-Winged Angel, but it was reversed into a DDT. Jericho then hit his new finisher, a spinning backfist called the Judas Effect, and pinned Omega.
