On the latest edition of Talk is Jericho, Chris Jericho talks about how historic AEW’s emergence really is. He mentions the origins of WWE and WCW, both birthed from previously established smaller organizations. While some could argue that AEW broke out from ROH and New Japan in a similar way (especially when compared to ECW), Chris sees AEW as a completely new emergence. “We’ve never seen the start of a legit big money big-time organization.”
Chris also talks about how surreal it is to be returning to the network where he started his career on television. “What I didn’t realize, what I forgot was that TNT used to be the home of WCW Nitro. How huge is that? Here I am, exactly 20 years after my last match on Nitro against Booker T about ready to return to the TNT network. Who would have thought that?”
