Samoa Joe Issues Warning To Dominick; Match With Rey Mysterio Reportedly Ended Early

Dave Meltzer via his latest Wrestling Observer Radio with Bryan Alvarez states that WWE decided to end the Rey Mysterio and Samoa Joe match early, likely because of Joe’s busted nose.

Joe lost quickly to Rey via pinfall in about a minute’s time after Joe’s shoulders were shown not to be on the mat, making it a controversial finish. The call happened after Joe’s nose was busted open causing blood to pour out everywhere which likely the reasoning for the match to end early. This gave Rey Mysterio “Grand Slam Champion” status since this is his first United States Championship win, but Joe wasn’t ready to congratulate the future WWE Hall of Famer. He attacked Mysterio post-match and then Joe went on Twitter to state a few warnings, not just to Rey, but to his son Dominick as well, who watched first-hand of the aftermath.
