BT Sport Reportedly Taking Over WWE UK Broadcast Rights From Sky Sports

WWE will have a new broadcast home in the UK, as BT Sport will be announcing plans that they have acquired the rights to the company’s broadcasting rights in the United Kingdom.

According to a report by The Telegraph, BT Sport will take over broadcasting WWE programming from Sky Sports, who has been an exclusive partner with the wrestling promotion for nearly three decades. Sky’s current five-year deal with WWE was signed in 2014; BT Sport is expected to take over broadcasting soon, but an exact date was not given.

Sky Sports currently airs WWE RAW and WWE SmackDown Live, as well as pay-per-view events on Sky Sports Box Office. BT Sport declined to issue a statement to The Telegraph on the move.
