Flip Gordon Says Visa Issues Were Due To Miscommunication, Double Or Nothing No Longer Available On PS4

Update: Fightful has spoken to Gordon about his visa issues, which he says was the result of a miscommunication with the consulate. Gordon said he originally had a visa for the NJPW Honor Rising tour in February (which he didn’t participate in due to injury), but he was given a shorter-term visa instead of a re-entry visa which would have been used this time. Additionally, a newly sent certificate of eligibility was lost, and that document was necessary for Gordon to apply for a new visa that would have qualified him to work in the Best Of Super Juniors tournament.

Gordon says he and New Japan are not mad at each other, as it was out of their hands and it was just a miscommunication. Gordon worked Ring Of Honor’s War Of The Worlds Buffalo event against Bandido, but does not have any appearances for this weekend confirmed at this time.

“I’m trying to look at the bright side,” said Flip. “I may get to see my family because ROH has shows in Washington and I’m hoping to get on those. My knee isn’t 100% so maybe it’s better off for my knee. It’s motivating me. I’m angry but you can use it in two different ways. You can piss and moan about it or you can turn it into motivation. I’m trying to turn it into motivation. I have more that I want to prove because I’m missing out on (Best of Super Juniors). I just want to wrestle. I don’t care where it is. I’ll be back in Japan and I’ll work hard to get back there.”

Following up on a previous story about Flip Gordon having to withdraw from an upcoming NJPW event, Flip has made a statement about the news on his Twitter account. It is obvious that he is not happy by reading the derogatory language that is used. It seems as if Gordon is just ready to finally get back in the ring and compete again.
