Update On Lio Rush’s WWE Future, More On Recent Backstage Heat Reports

Lio Rush was backstage at WWE RAW in Lexington, Kentucky last night, but was not used on air. According to PWInsider.com, there’s been backstage talk about shifting him back to NXT programming in the near future.

Last week, the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported Rush was was facing heat with WWE due to some recent behavior, and Rush seemingly addressed that report in a statement he posted to his Twitter account about people not knowing all of the facts about his life. PWInsider is reporting while there’s been no on-air explanation for his partnership with Bobby Lashley ending, issues with him (involving other talent) date back to November 2018 when he blew off an unwritten “backstage etiquette” rules for the junior members of the roster on overseas tours, which included menial tasks such as setting up common areas for socializing and providing water to talent returning from the ring. These tasks are designed to show a sign of respect, which rubbed people the wrong way when he ignored this and complained to WWE management.

Other incidents noted included Rush allegedly bringing friends and family backstage without proper credentials and blowing off advice from senior RAW talent.
