In a battle between the past and the present (and future,) hometown star Gail Kim faced Tessa Blanchard at IMPACT Wrestling: Rebellion. Kim, one of the most successful women wrestlers in recent history, came out of retirement to escalate this bitter personal rivalry. Blanchard, one of IMPACT’s leading women wrestlers, hoped to prove that she’s the better competitor. In the end, Blanchard made Kim tap out.

Kim consistently displayed her experience while Blanchard demonstrated why she’s one of IMPACT’s top stars. The disdain between the two competitors was tangible; they both desperately wanted to earn the victory in this match. In one of the highlights of the match, Blanchard slammed Kim off the stage.
After the match, the two competitors shook hands and hugged.
