Jeff Hardy Injury Update

WWE SmackDown Live Tag Team Champion Jeff Hardy was injured during WWE’s live event from Madison, Wisconsin on April 20. Hardy apparently injured his right knee but the severity of it remains unknown. Hardy’s right knee has been banged up since his 2015 dirtbike accident. He has also been working on a torn PCL for the past four years.

The following night, Hardy was at the WWE show in Rochester, Minnesota, but did not wrestle. He was ringside for his brother Matt’s match, but was limping significantly. He missed the next show in Sioux City and TV in Lincoln. WON notes that the belief amongst those who need to know for storyline reasons, is that Hardy is scheduled for surgery this week. This is likely why the injury itself is being kept a secret.

People close to Hardy say he’s injured, hopefully not terribly bad, but he’s playing it safe for the time being. It remains to be seen how WWE decides to handle things creatively. We’ll keep you updated as we learn more.
