In a surprising moment during tonight’s episode of SmackDown Live, it was announced that Finn Balor would be arriving to the brand as part of the Superstar Shakeup, and he’ll be bringing his Intercontinental Championship with him. Balor made his debut to the shock of the crowd, and began his SmackDown debut with a match against Ali.
Although many would think that Balor would take an easy victory over Ali, it was anything but. Ali took control early and often throughout the match, and had plenty of opportunities to potentially claim a huge win against Balor. Unfortunately for Ali, Balor is a champion for a reason, and was able to come away with a victory after turning the tables, forcing Ali to miss an attack off the top rope and capitlizing with a Coupe de Grace.
