WWE Superstars On Women’s Revolution, Celebrities And John Oliver’s Criticism

During WrestleMania, WWE superstars are the talk of the town. For example, Steve Credo of Fox News recently interviewed several of them and the topics ranged from John Oliver’s criticism to celebrities trying to be successful in the WWE.

In the interview, Stephanie McMahon and other stars discussed the Women’s Revolution. “I want to see an equal number of main events of men and women, regardless of what the event is,” said McMahon. “…That’s really the ultimate goal — equality.”

Matt Hardy echoed McMahon’s viewpoint. “The women’s revolution is such an important key part of not only WWE, but I think society in general,” said Hardy. “…Equality is a big deal, not just between men and women, but all races. People are all human beings, especially here.”

Several superstars also discussed the influx of celebrities coming to the WWE. Many of the wrestlers felt that it’s important for the newcomers to respect the business. “All I got to say is, respect us and respect what we do,” said Scott Dawson.

Charlotte Flair had similar thoughts; she made it clear that it takes hard work to succeed in the wrestling business. “It’s one thing to be famous, but it’s another thing to have a grueling schedule,” said Flair. “Just because you have a name doesn’t mean you’re going to be fit for our industry.”

Finally, Matt Hardy responded to John Oliver’s criticism of the WWE. “It’s just some of the stuff that the John talked about was kind of passé, kind of outdated because now they really do [take care of wrestlers’ health],” said Hardy. “They take care of everything especially stuff that happens in house.”
