Good news for fans of New Japan Pro Wrestling’s Hiromu Takahashi. After breaking his neck in a match against Dragon Lee at the G1 Special event in San Francisco last year, Takahashi has been slowly recovering and giving updates on social media. According to the latest issue of the Wrestling Observer newsletter (subscription required), fans won’t have to wait long to see Takahashi return to action.
He’s expected to return in “late summer.” Before being injured Hiromu Takahashi was one of the fastest rising stars in New Japan Pro Wrestling. He’s a former IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Champion and could look to regain the momentum he lost after being sidelined.
