WWE Creative Talent No Longer With WWE After Hall Of Fame Mishap

PWInsider is reporting that Robert Evans, once known as RD Evans on the independent scene, was let go by WWE after he took the blame for including Vince McMahon’s name in a speech at the WWE Hall Of Fame.

According to Insider,  Evans was fired on the spot by Vince McMahon backstage at Gorilla while the WWE Hall Of Fame Ceremony was still going on. The speech in question is Bret Hart’s Hart Foundation induction, but no word as of yet if that is indeed the one.

Later on, D-Generation-X dropped McMahon’s name left and right in their speech which may have been a reference to the controversial ongoing earlier in the evening. It has been heavily emphasised over the years that McMahon doesn’t want his name mentioned in the speeches.

Evans actually shared on Twitter that he quit the WWE. A short and simple statement that included a grocery list:

Evans wrestled for both ROH and CHIKARA before joining the WWE Creative Team in 2016.
