Booker T Responds To Billy Graham Telling Kofi Kingston To Take Steroids

WWE Hall Of Famer “Superstar” Billy Graham made headlines recently for his recent comments about WWE Champion Kofi Kingston. Kingston defeated Daniel Bryan in one of the premiere bouts on the WrestleMania 35 card this past Sunday. Graham had expressed displeasure with Kingston being involved in the World Title picture prior to the match-up, feeling Kingston was too small for the spot.

After his title win, Graham actually recommended Kingston add some muscle mass by taking steroids. This didn’t sit well with two-time WWE Hall Of Famer Booker T, who responded to Graham’s comments on his Houston sports radio show ‘The Hall Of Fame.’

Here’s what Booker T had to say:

One person wasn’t pulling for him. Billy Graham. “Superstar” Billy Graham. “Superstar” Billy Graham said some disparaging things about Kofi Kingston, and the thing is, man, these old guys need to wake up and realize their era is over. It’s over! To bring steroids into a conversation, as far as, what a man needs to do to get to the top in the wrestling business, man. There’s more to life than the wrestling business.

What about your health? I respect “Superstar” Billy Graham for what he did in the business and as well as what he said about me, but “Superstar” Billy Graham throwing that kind of talk out to a man who had just went out there and – history man! He just made history! And this is how you want to throw shade on his moment? By telling him this is what he needs to do because he’s not muscled up, because he’s not jacked up like you were. Like it was back in the ’70s with guys, in the ’80s.

They got a wellness policy now, they’re trying to keep these guys alive! We lost so many soldiers along the way because of steroids and drugs. And for this man to say another man needs to get on drugs to become successful – he is successful! He’s the WWE Champion! I don’t think drugs are gonna do anything for him, and the right choice was made.

The one person above all is “Superstar” Billy Graham, who should know what steroids do to the body. I mean, in 2006 hospitalized with issues, 2010 hospitalized with liver problems, and said that he only may have a year left to live. 2012 diagnosed with liver problems, 2013 hospitalized for double pneumonia, 2014 re-hospitalized for liver complications, 2016 hospitalized internal bleeding! Come on man! Wake the hell up!
