CM Punk On If WWE Using ‘Best In The World’ Is A Shot At Him, Reaction To Kofi Kingston Winning WWE Championship

Former WWE star CM Punk was recently a guest on ‘Sauce & Shram’ to talk about several professional wrestling topics. The former WWE Champion commented on WWE using the “Best In The World” moniker for Shane McMahon, the first-ever women’s main event at WrestleMania, and Kofi Kingston winning the WWE Championship.

Here are the highlights:

WWE using the “Best In The World” moniker for Shane McMahon:

I think he’s been calling himself the “best in the world.” And, this is the funny thing about the company, is I can say, yeah, that’s a little shot at me – and, you know, it probably is, but they’ll deny it until the cows come home.

First-ever women’s main event at WrestleMania:

Those three women last night put it all on the line for everybody’s entertainment. And I think the best thing to come out of all of that is the little girls that can watch that and aspire to be something greater than what we all are.

Kofi Kingston winning the WWE Championship:

It should have happened 10 years ago. That’s what I’ll lead with. It’s just one of those things where it’s, yes, I’m stoked it happened now, but again, be ahead of the curve instead of way behind it.
