The G1 Supercard had some rocky moments but the main event made it well worth watching. Kazuchika Okada finally regained his IWGP Heavyweight Championship and became New Japan Pro-Wrestling’s champ into the new era. The match went over 30 minutes and it took multiple rainmakers and even a spinning tombstone to keep White down.

This is no doubt a great revenge for Okada, who was betrayed by longtime managed Gedo and lost to White previously.
