Now, in the buzz of WrestleMania Weekend, he can’t help but continue to show off for the crowds. Eric Bischoff captures the 69-year-old on Twitter achieving perfect balance in front of a gaggle of reporters at WrestleCon.

MVP on WWE: ‘There Was A Conversation About Making Me World Champion’

Former United States Champion MVP recently gave a TED talk about his criminal background and life as a convicted felon. He recounted life after prison, where he could only find work as a bouncer and trained in his off hours to be a professional wrestler.

Eventually, through lots of hard work, I created an opportunity for myself. Vince McMahon, owner of the WWE, he gave me an opportunity. Society wouldn’t give me an opportunity to make minimum wage, but Vince said that he saw something in me and that we’re going to take a chance. Before I knew it, I was an international wrestling superstar.

Later, he revealed that even when he was with the company, there were still things from his past holding him back from achieving his full potential.

Even when I was MVP, WWE Superstar, there was a conversation about making me the world heavyweight champion. Then there were reservations because there were some countries that I still couldn’t be admitted to. So potentially, I was still paying my debt to society.
