Kofi Kingston Signs Contract, is Ready to Face Daniel Bryan at WrestleMania 35

Kofi Kingston and The New Day joined Daniel Bryan and Rowan in the ring to close out tonight’s SmackDown Live to sign the contract for their highly anticipated WrestleMania 35 match for the WWE Championship. Prior to the signing itself, Daniel Bryan proceeded to take multiple shots at Kofi Kingston, accusing him of being complacent throughout his wrestling career and being a “bystander” in his own life, crediting Xavier Woods and Big E as pushing him to the top.

As the crowd in Baltimore chanted their approval of Kofi and continued to anger Bryan, he continued to take shots at Kofi, calling this the biggest moment in Kofi’s career and telling Kingston that he was once in the shoes of Kofi. From there, Kingston quickly took his turn on the microphone, telling Bryan that despite their small similarities, Kingston had to wait 11 years for a chance at the WWE Championship, and that he’ll be ready come Sunday night. Kingston went to say that he knew Bryan was “scared as hell,” and that at WrestleMania 35, he’d beat Bryan to become the WWE Championship before furiously signing the contract, setting up the matchup that fans have been waiting to see.
