Samoa Joe warmed up for his first ever WrestleMania match by making short work of Ali on tonight’s episode of SmackDown Live. In a match that took place shortly before the contract signing of Kofi Kingston and Daniel Bryan, Joe was able to shake off some early rust and collect himself in time to come away the winner in brutal fashion.
Starting off the match fast, Ali actually looked like he might be able to upset Joe, but it wasn’t meant to be. After getting a series of quick hits and a surprise tornado DDT on Joe, Ali was quickly overpowered by the much larger Joe, who was able to get Ali in a Coquina Clutch that almost immediately knocked out Ali and gave Joe the chance to show everyone how ready he was for his match next week.
