Becky Lynch Throws Shade At Rob Gronkowski WWE Rumors, Athletes Making Debuts At WrestleMania

There has been a lot of talk about now-former NFL tight end Rob Gronkowski making his WWE debut soon. The 29-year-old recently retired from the NFL, where he won several Super Bowls with the New England Patriots. Now, he might be considering stepping into the squared circle.

TMZ caught up with 2019 WWE Women’s Royal Rumble winner Becky Lynch and got her thoughts on the matter. “The Man” will be one-third of the first-ever women’s main event at WrestleMania 35 in April.

In regards to Gronkowski possibly coming to WWE, Lynch took issue with athletes from other sports – with no past professional wrestling accomplishments – stepping in to make their debuts on shows like WrestleMania (Transcription credit should go to @JonFuentesMMA for Wrestlezone.com):

Yeah, I mean he has already been in WrestleMania, hasn’t he? Wouldn’t that be nice? Wouldn’t that be nice to never have done anything in wrestling and just go into WrestleMania, I love that. I would love that. Some of us almost get fired, and have to work our way – scratch and claw and then we become the main event. Other people are just “Here you go, here’s your debut match at WrestleMania.” See you at WrestleMania.
