Politico is reporting that Linda McMahon is preparing to resign from her post within President Trump’s cabinet. Since February 2017, she’s served as the head of the Small Business Administration. In a Presidential term full of resignations and controversy, Linda has been a constant figure, surviving since the beginning of the President’s stay in office. She’s expected to return to the private sector and fundraise for President Trump’s 2020 reelection campaign.
McMahon previously held the title of CEO of WWE, which she gave up in 2009 to run for US Senate. She lost the Connecticut seat twice, first in 2009 to Richard Blumenthal and then in 2012 to Chris Murphy. In 2016, she raised funds for Chris Christie’s campaign before putting her weight behind Trump as the election drew nearer.
