FIRST MATCH: Yuji Nagata & Manabu Nakanishi vs. Yota Tsuji & Yuya Uemura

Fantastic Young Lion tag match. Nagata and Nakanishi have looked stellar all tour. Tsuji & Uemura have “it.”

Need To Watch Rating: (5.0)

SECOND MATCH: Hiroyoshi Tenzan, Satoshi Kojima & Shota Umino vs. Michael Elgin, Colt Cabana & Toa Henare

Solid, inessential tag match.

Need To Watch Rating: (1.5)

THIRD MATCH: Togi Makabe, Toru Yano & Tomoaki Honma vs. Suzuki-gun (Minoru Suzuki, Davey Boy Smith Jr. & Lance Archer)

Hard-hitting six-man tag. Makabe, Yano & Honma are right back in their Great Bash Heel days.

Need To Watch Rating: (3.5)

FOURTH MATCH: Kota Ibushi, Tomohiro Ishii, Ryusuke Taguchi & Ren Narita vs. Los Ingobernables de Japon (Tetsuya Naito, EVIL, BUSHI & Shingo Takagi)

Really fun match, Ibushi and Naito continue to be electric against each other.  Takagi and Narita have some great exchanges, as per usual.

Need To Watch Rating: (3.1)

FIFTH MATCH: Hiroshi Tanahashi & Will Ospreay vs. Suzuki-gun (Zack Sabre Jr. & Taichi)

Solid tag match. Tanahashi & Ospreay aren’t as cohesive as they were at the end of 2018. Sabre & Taichi are a delight.

Need To Watch Rating: (4.0)

SIXTH MATCH: Hirooki Goto, YOSHI-HASHI & Mikey Nicholls vs. Bullet Club (Jay White, Bad Luck Fale & Hikuleo)

Unfortunately streaming issues led to me not being able to see enough of this match to rate.

Need To Watch Rating: N/R

SEVENTH MATCH: IWGP United States Heavyweight Championship Match: Juice Robinson (c) vs. Chase Owens

Attitude Era fans, this match is for you. Shenanigans aplenty, with a solid match at the base of all the gaga. Owens is finally getting the main event matches that he’s deserved for some time now.

Need To Watch Rating: (9.0)

MAIN EVENT: New Japan Cup Final Match: Kazuchika Okada vs. SANADA

Everything one wants from a tournament final. Dramatic nearfalls, snarky move theft, finisher counters aplenty. Absolute perfection from two of the best in New Japan today.

Need To Watch Rating: (10.0)
