Kurt Angle on WrestleMania Opponent: ‘It Doesn’t Matter Who It Is’

WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle hosted another Q&A session on his Facebook page and you can see some of the highlights below. The former Olympic Gold Medalist discussed everything from WrestleMania 35 to healthy options for dinner.

Who does Angle want to face at WrestleMania?

It truly doesn’t matter who it is. Part of me wants a legend like Cena and part of me wants an upcoming talent, I’ve always prided myself on putting over younger talent in this business. I’m just happy to be performing at Wrestlemania.

Why did Angle, when he saw Cena at WrestleMania 19, think the young star would be the future of the company?

I saw a green kid that had so much ability, looked incredibly good, and could cut a promo better than anyone. It wasn’t that hard to point him out. I wrestled him dozens of times so I just knew he was going to be big.

What is Angle doing after his retirement match at WrestleMania?

I don’t know. I think I might hang around WWE to help behind the scenes, maybe manage younger talent on the show. I will stick around the business regardless.

What advice does Angle have for women wrestlers trying to make a name for themselves on the independent scene?

Just be yourself, be patient, and be strong. They WILL eventually accept you. Do NOT quit!
