Jeanne “Hollywood” Basone On The Netflix Series Of GLOW and if the original GLOW girls have asked to be involved:

I’m looking forward to season three. In season three they’re going to Las Vegas and GLOW was in Vegas right away. So it just interests me to watch these characters…

I really hope that we’ll get season four and season five and I know some of you been asking the question about and Dom you’re probably going ask it here: “Are you girls involved?” It would be lovely to have the original GLOW girls involved, but at this moment and time we have not been asked…we’ll see what happens.

On her wrestling background and getting her initial audition with GLOW:

When I grew up girls couldn’t wrestle with the guys, at least in my generation. Today’s generation is a lot different so my background was an athletic background, but I was on medical, I was sitting there drawing blood for a living, and I had friends that were in the entertainment business and so they asked me to one day do some extra work on a set, basically I got with this agency and the agency had like information on file and they called and said, “Hey, there’s an interview. It’s gonna be this time, blah blah blah blah, can you come down?”

I just knew it was a sports type of show, not til I got there did I find out that this particular sport involved wrestling. Now I did not know anything about wrestling other than seeing it on TV and watching my grandfather occasionally check out the wrestling, but I didn’t know anything about it and so I went down, I auditioned like everybody else, it was a big giant open call, Fonda Guerrero was the trainer and I started training Monday, Wednesdays and Fridays and I noticed that every time I’d come back…there’d be less and less people. They were weeding out who they wanted. I just had to be one of the 12. They needed twelve girls. They did the pilot in Las Vegas…they sold it and they said to me, “As of this February pack your bags, you’re heading to Las Vegas and you’re going to wrestle.”
