Finn Balor Retains Against Lio Rush

Since Bobby Lashley was busy with Braun Strowman, Finn Balor defended his title against Lio Rush on RAW. The two had a very good match with Rush gaining some key momentum after hitting several dives to the outside in a row that wound up damaging Balor’s left knee. Afterwards, he went for a flying frog splash, but Balor got his knees up to block the move. Rush would go on to work the knee for the rest of the match.

This led to several close calls where Rush nearly pinned the injured champion. However, after failing to hit a springboard stunner, Balor was able to hit his finisher in able to get the victory.
