The main event of SmackDown Live featured a six-man tag team match between AJ Styles, Kofi Kingston and Jeff Hardy vs. WWE Champion Daniel Bryan, Samoa Joe and Randy Orton. Before the match Bryan, who was accompanied by Rowan, cut a promo against the crowd.
“All of you tried to will this title off of me by putting me in the Elimination Chamber, but Daniel Bryan survived!” said the Champion. “I serve a higher purpose to enlighten, to educate, even though none of you want to be educated. That’s what I’m here to do. I’m gonna educate you once more about my opponent at Fastlane, but I’m not going to tell you who it is. I’m gonna tell you who it’s not. It’s none of the men in this match tonight because I defeated all of them in the Elimination Chamber.”

Eyes were on Kofi Kingston during the match, as his impressive Elimination Chamber performance put a spotlight on him. This led to Randy Orton targeting him and viciously slamming him into the announcer’s table. Orton would then get Kingston back into the ring and he was able to make a hot tag to AJ Styles after dodging one of the attacks by the “Viper.” After a few minutes of action, Kingston found himself again the legal man against WWE Champion Daniel Bryan. He managed to do two subsequent dives that not only took out all of his opponents but also Rowan. He hit Trouble In Paradise and picked up the win.
