Taz Takes Issue With Ronda Rousey Picking Up ‘A Weapon’ At Elimination Chamber

ECW legend Taz is back at it with another exciting edition of The Taz Show. This time the subject at hand was WWE’s recent Elimination Chamber pay-per-view. Taz wasn’t fond of the former UFC fighter picking up crutches, as a weapon, in the post-match melee with Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair. Taz explains, “I’m gonna point something out that happened in this thing where Ronda Rousey went crazy with the crutches…that was not good by WWE, what they did with Ronda Rousey.”

Taz continued, “Basically Becky goes f*cking crazy once they get in the ring and attacks Charlotte Flair with the crutches and it was a beating, beating, beating, beating. No doubt. Physical physical beating and Charlotte sold great, bumped and sold. It was phenomenal, really was.”

Then Ronda Rousey joined in on the fracas, “Becky and Ronda make eye contact and one crutch was down on the ground and Becky kind of gave her the eye, ‘Pick up the crutch and go beat Charlotte up also,’ so Ronda Rousey slowly does that. She picks up the crutch.”

Taz took exception to Rousey needing to weaponize, “Right there I was like, ‘No. Stop. Don’t do this. Don’t Ronda. Don’t pick up the crutch. Don’t, whoever decided this, whatever agent, producer, whoever it was. Bad bad bad. Don’t.’ Ronda Rousey is a killer. She’s a legitimate UFC Hall of Famer, MMA mega star, just the highest level in the great sports of judo…and you have her grab a weapon? No, no, no. She does not need a weapon. You guys remember that saying that I used to say, ‘I don’t need a weapon. My hands are my weapons.’ She should never pick up a weapon. She’s a weapon. That’s something they’ve got to do. That’s very important. What did she do? She picked up the weapon just to walk toward Charlotte while Charlotte was on the ground begging off, just to get hit from behind by Becky Lynch, to get attacked from behind by the other crutch, so Ronda Rousey got her ass kicked by Becky Lynch.”

Taz has no problem with Lynch using the crutches as a weapon, as he feels it coincides more with her character.
