Kevin Owens Health Update

Kevin Owens appeared on tonight’s Elimination Chamber Kickoff Show and said that he was one month away from returning, “Hello WWE Universe, this is Kevin Owens. Hopefully, you already knew that. I just finished rehab for the day and now I’m heading home…I’m pretty excited about watching this. The Elimination Chamber is one of my favorites to watch, but I admit it kind of hurts that I won’t be in it. In fact, I’ve never had the chance to compete in an Elimination Chamber Match before, which makes it sting even more. As I’ve said before, doctors are saying my rehab is going well. Right now they’re saying I’m still about a month away, which is quite frustrating, but all you need to know is that the Kevin Owens Show is coming back very soon.”

Owens also expressed interest in watching Finn Balor‘s match tonight and expressed frustration over having to explain to his kids why Becky Lynch won’t be competing tonight or at WrestleMania. He also debated the merits of pineapple pizza.

Buddy Murphy Retains Cruiserweight Championship

Cruiserweight Champion Buddy Murphy defeated challenger Akira Tozawa via pinfall on tonight’s Elimination Chamber Kickoff Show.

The match was a fantastic back and forth affair that garnered ‘This is awesome’ chants from the Houston faithful in attendance. Ultimately Tozawa came up just short in his efforts to dethrone the Cruiserweight Champion, who still enjoys a 125 plus day reign.
