Paige On The ‘Surreal’ Feeling Of Having Her Own Movie, New WWE Chronicle Features Her Heartbreaking Retirement

Paige spoke with The Wrap while promoting her film Fighting With My Family, which is in theaters now.

Paige called the biopic a ‘surreal’ feeling as she took part in an interview with the cast at the Sundance Film Festival.

“It’s wonderful — obviously I didn’t know I was going to have a movie made about my life at the age of 26, so it’s definitely a surreal moment. But it feels really good — we have such a wonderful cast. I mean, look at them!”

Actress Florence Pugh, who plays Paige in the film also talked about how she learned to wrestle for the film:

“One of my favorite things about this film and being able to play her is that Stephen said straight away, ‘I want to you to wrestle as much as possible and I want you to be in it and I want to capture as much of you doing it.’ That’s so liberating and exciting that I got to do that.”

On a related note, WWE released a new Chronicle video featuring Paige and the story of her in-ring retirement:
