Current WWE Talent On The Influence Of All Elite Wrestling, The Saudi Arabia Events Being ‘Just Another Show’ To Most

This week on the debut of Total Engagement with Matt Koon, an “active and well-known” WWE talent, speaking on the condition of anonymity*, spoke to Matt Koon about All Elite Wrestling and WWE’s shows in Saudi Arabia.

The unnamed talent was asked about the influence of All Elite Wrestling on the working environment behind the scenes of WWE, to which they said:

“The boys feel more confident. The office wants us to think that AEW has nothing to do with new contracts coming.”

When asked about the general feeling (positive, negative or ambivalent) of the wrestlers working in Saudi Arabia in light of recent headlines:

“Generally the Saudi show hasn’t been looked at as a massive deal, just another show to MOST of the boys.”

*It was noted that voice modulation software was not going to be used to air the conversation, due to technology being so good that you could reverse it, so this was a phone conversation that was transcribed and read on air.
