On Injuries Causing Him To Miss Out On The WWE World Championship:

I was almost there. It was the next day. I was going to win the title from The Undertaker. We already planned it. They’d sorta given me the layout and then I got that injury. It’s frustrating, but what do you do? It’s just part of life. Things happen and you just gotta make the best. I don’t harbor any ill will or resentment toward anybody. It’s just part of life. [The injury was thought to take months to heal, however the doctor’s prognosis was incorrect. It took him only weeks, but WWE had already changed plans by then.]

Anderson On Other Times He Was Slated To Be World Champion In WWE:

I know that I was well on my way to working up that ladder when I tore my lat, and I had to be out of action for 8 or 9 months, and that sort of brought everything to a screeching halt. When things finally started back up again and they were gonna put the title on me, that’s when everything came to a screeching halt again because of another injury. Injuries sort of plagued my career. I remember I would read the dirt sheets and people would say, ‘He’s injury prone.’ Every injury I ever suffered was – except for one – at the hands of another. I would never watch somebody get hit in the face with a sledge hammer and say, ‘That guy’s injury prone.’

On Why There Has Been No WWE Reconciliation:

It’s not that I don’t want to answer that question, I just can’t answer that question. I don’t really know. I think part of it had to do with my attitude, probably. I was bitter for a couple years after I left WWE and I said some things that I probably shouldn’t have said in hindsight. If I could point to any one reason, I would point to myself being the problem.

Anderson On His Attitude While In WWE:

I don’t think I was ever hard to get along with backstage. At least, I think I did get along with the boys. I grew up – I was always told – I don’t remember if my parents taught me this or it was something I came to do on my own, but I kind of bucked the system and challenged authority. Somebody tells me to do something, why should I do that? I always felt like I always had to speak my mind and everybody had to know what Ken Anderson was thinking, at the the particular time about any topic. As I’ve aged, I’ve just decided that I’ll keep some things to myself. I can and I should.

On Whether He Prefers The Mr. Kennedy WWE Run Or The Mr. Anderson IMPACT Wrestling Run:

Each one had its positives and its negatives. Kennedy was a bigger platform, and I made more money as Kennedy, and I got to experience more things, and see more places, and things like that. Anderson, I felt like I had a lot more creative freedom and was able to put my own spin on things.
