Mustafa Ali is reportedly being pulled from Sunday’s WWE Championship match at the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view due to various injuries.
Fightful.com is reporting Ali will be pulled from the match, and a storyline explanation will involve Randy Orton being blamed for the injuries. According to the report, there are no updates as of right now for a possible replacement for Ali. Backstage sources at today’s WWE RAW taping confirmed Ali is being removed from the match despite his assurances that he could still work.
Ali was reportedly working through a tailbone injury that was exacerbated at the Royal Rumble event, and last week’s SmackDown saw Ali end up with a swollen eye. Despite working through that, Ali’s eye got worse at last night’s WWE live event, and will likely not be cleared for any action this week.
