Cody Rhodes Set To Have Knee Surgery, Timetable For Return

Cody Rhodes will be having surgery on his knee on February 12th, but he won’t miss much time in the ring.

Dave Meltzer reported in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Cody will be out of action for two to three months, but he’ll be good to go for All Elite Wrestling‘s Double Or Nothing event on May 25th. Cody was removed from competition on Ring Of Honor’s Global Wars tour after hearing a pop in his knee; his original diagnosis was that his MCL, PCL and ACL were structurally sound, but the meniscus was fairly damaged, later revealing two tears.

It was originally reported that Cody would have surgery after Wrestle Kingdom 13, and still ended up competing there and at Ring Of Honor’s Final Battle in December. The good news is that Cody is not scheduled to wrestle until the Double Or Nothing event in Las Vegas. Since announcing All Elite Wrestling earlier this month, he has made some surprise non-wrestling appearances at Bar Wrestling and Northeast Wrestling, with Cody and the rest of AEW not-so-subtly teasing a run-in at McAloon Productions’ ‘Come Hell Or High Water’ this weekend in Atlanta.
