WWE Royal Rumble preview

Details On WWE Royal Rumble’s Attendance Numbers (Updated)

Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer is reporting in his latest Observer Newsletter paid attendance numbers will be low for WWE Royal Rumble.

The Rumble is set up to sit 43,000 at the Arizona Diamondbacks’ Chase Field and Meltzer is reported that the expectations are going to only be 25,000 to 30,000 paid attendees. The entire stadium is set up for seating with the exception of where the stage is set up and according to Meltzer, some tarp or paper may be used to cover up any empty blemishes.

As for the RAW after The Rumble, attendance is expected to be between 7,000 – 7,500 which would be a huge disappointment for WWE.

Update: According to a source speaking with Wrestlezone, the working crew at Chase Field is expecting and preparing for 40,000 people in attendance. It was not stated as to how many people were paid or papered tickets, but a larger crowd is expected.
