Report: WWE Will Double Contract Offers To Indie Stars Being Courted By Other Companies

It appears that WWE isn’t pleased about losing out on stars like Bandido to other companies. While Ring of Honor was able to scoop up the luchador, WWE is now getting more aggressive with their attempts at signing talent.

According to this week’s edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter (subscription required), WWE told certain indie stars that if they can provide an offer from another company (such as Ring of Honor or All Elite Wrestling) then they will beat it. Going even further, they will also double it if the talent agrees to sign the deal on the spot rather than continue negotiations.

WWE are still taking this on a case by case basis, however. For example, they opted to not offer such a contract to Chris Jericho.
