In Ring Segment: Johnny Gargano
Gargano says he is going to take the North American Championship from Ricochet. Ricochet interrupts and says he is happy to defend against Gargano. Ricochet is going to leave NXT Takeover Phoenix the champion. Tommaso Ciampa walks out on the ramp. Gargano tells Ciampa to shut up and leave because this has nothing to do with him. Aleister Black appears on the ‘tron and tells Ciampa that he needs to be more concerned with an actual threat. At NXT Phoenix Black is going to make Ciampa fade to black. The lights go out and Black appears behind Ciampa. Black beats down Ciampa. Ciampa runs away. Gargano surprises Ricochet with a superkick.
Bianca Belair vs Nikki Cross
Belair and Cross stare at each other as the bell rings. Belair mushes Cross in the face. Cross bags for Belair to hit her. Crossbody by Cross. Cross tries a schoolboy but Belair backflips out of it. Cross takes Belair over with a head scissors. Belair knocks Cross to the outside. Belair goes out to the apron. Cross trips Belair and traps her in the ring skirt. Cross unloads on Belair. Cross sends Belair back into the ring. Cross goes up top. Belair cuts her off. Belair gorilla press slams Cross then hits a standing moonsault for a near fall. Belair picks Cross up in a vertical suplex but Cross reverses it into a DDT.
Crossfires up and leaps on Belair, landing blow after blow. Running bulldog by Cross. Slop drop by Cross. Belair kicks out. Cross sets up her finish. Belair fights out of it and hits a spear. Cross kicks out. Belair tries a splash but Cross gets her knees up. Cross hits her finisher but Belair rolls out of the ring to avoid getting pinned. Cross goes outside and jumps on Belair’s back. Belair drives Cross into the ramp. Belair and Cross are both almost counted out. Cross and Belair lung at each other, landing rights and lefts. Belair tries to spear Cross but Cross moves out of the way. Belair runs shoulder-first into the ring post. Cross rolls up Belair but Belair kicks out. Belair levels Cross with a stiff elbow. Cross misses a crossbody off the top. Belair hits the KOD for the win.
