Report: This Week’s RAW Was Rewritten By Vince McMahon To Be ‘Happier’

For the second straight week, RAW was heavily changed in the hours leading up to the show. This time around, Vince McMahon rewrote a lot of the script in order to make the fans happier since he thought the audience would be in a somber mood due to the passing of President George HW Bush. This is according to the latest issue of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter (subscription required).

It’s the polar opposite of last week’s show, which was rewritten to give the heels more of an edge. This week saw many babyfaces overcoming adversity and winning matches, such as Rousey getting an armbar on Tamina Snuka, and Dolph Ziggler doing a face turn. Feedback on the episode has been mixed, but was generally thought to be an improvement upon last week’s episode.
