Reported Details On Daniel Bryan’s Heel Turn

It is being reported by Dave Meltzer via his latest Wrestling Observer Radio show that the plan for Daniel Bryan to turn heel was decided on last weekend. According to Meltzer, Bryan has been pitching to Vince to turn heel for some time. Vince finally decided to pull the trigger and in an attempt to make the most out of the moment, made the decision to showcase it on the go-home episode of SmackDown with the title changing hands.

Brock Lesnar vs. Daniel Bryan has been talked about for years as a dream match, including Bryan himself and fans will finally get it this Sunday. The question is, is turning Bryan heel, arguably WWE’s biggest babyface, to go one-on-one with a heel Lesnar, the right direction? Sound off in the comments below!

I was furious, despondent and empty inside after seeing Bryan’s heel turn, thinking that it was all just a buzz, spur of the moment reaction by Vince to get people talking before Survivor Series, but now hearing that Bryan’s been pitching this for weeks to Vince, it adds a whole different layer to things. I can’t argue that Bryan will be a fantastic heel as he displayed that in ROH, but there was so much money in making him a top face in the company. Maybe Bryan saw that as not a possibility or just was itching to turn heel. Either way, the move has the wrestling world talking.
