WWE Reportedly Eyeing Even More New Japan Talent; More Details

It was reported earlier in the week that New Japan Pro-Wrestling Superstar Tetsuya Naito immediately declined a WWE offer earlier this summer. However, it appears that he is not the only New Japan name that WWE is after.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE is after at least two more undisclosed talents from NJPW. Dave Meltzer wrote the following:

“Naito would be one of the three (at least) Japanese top guys feelers have been sent to. The other two that we’re aware of didn’t turn the offers down without thought although one would be a huge surprise and the other would be a great worker who I didn’t see flourishing in the WWE system, but also probably wouldn’t have any reservations about moving to the U.S. like many of the Japanese might.”

What do you think? Who do you think that WWE may also have their eye on? Sound off in the comments below.

So, this report implies these stars would be Japanese by ethnicity, but outside of Naito and Tanahashi, I question who WWE would desire having in the fold. They did briefly have Kota Ibushi but he has stated in the past that he won’t go over full time. Personally, I think Okada fits the bill. Much like Shinsuke, he oozes charisma out of his pores and is somebody who could hold the WWE Universe in the palm of his hands. Realistically, I think we all know that WWE will be releasing all of their writers and making Gedo the only booker. Kidding.
