The Usos defeated The New Day to be named team captains of SmackDown’s Tag Team Survivor Series team. Longtime rivals in the SmackDown tag division, The Usos and New Day had yet another battle for tag supremacy. This time, instead of title belts, there was Survivor Series implications between the two teams. Kofi Kingston and Big E would bring out all the stops, but the Samoan Twins prevailed, with Jimmy Uso beating Kofi with a thunderous splash.
After the match, the newly named tag team captains named The New Days as the first team to join The Usos for the Survivor Series elimination tag.
