Report: Ring Of Honor And IMPACT Champs Agree To Title vs Title Match

The Chris Jericho Cruise was an eventful trip, and some important business got done along the way. Talent from both IMPACT Wrestling and Ring of Honor competed on the cruise (and against each other), and it turns out that the two sides agreed to a future match as well according to the latest issue of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter (subscription required). Current Ring of Honor Champion Jay Lethal and IMPACT Champion Johnny Impact both agreed to do a title vs title match in the future. A date and venue for the highly anticipated match isn’t set yet.

While IMPACT Wrestling and Ring of Honor don’t have any other future working plans at the moment, this is a huge step forward for the two companies. They had previously been at odds due to IMPACT’s fractured relationship with the Hardys (who competed for Ring of Honor briefly before going back to WWE). However, IMPACT has changed a ton from a corporate standpoint sine then, and it seems the two sides have mended the previously damaged relationship.
