Double Champ Daniel Cormier Has WWE Tryout Scheduled For After UFC 230

Current UFC Heavyweight and Light Heavyweight Champion Daniel Cormier has been open about how he’s going to retire from mixed martial arts competition soon, and it looks like he has his eyes on a possible future within World Wrestling Entertainment. While many would assume that would be in an in-ring capacity, Cormier is eyeing a different gig within WWE: a commentary spot.

Daniel Cormier (who is currently scheduled to fight Brock Lesnar next year if he wins his next fight) told reporters at his UFC 230 media scrum that he has a tryout scheduled with the company. It will take place in Orlando, Florida after his Heavyweight title defense against Derrick “Black Beast” Lewis. UFC 230 takes place November 3, 2018 at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

Considering Daniel Cormier has been a lifelong professional wrestling fan and has shown himself as an adept mixed martial arts commentator, it seems like a WWE commentary role would be a great fit for the current UFC Heavyweight and Light Heavyweight Champion.

Would you like to see “DC” in the role? Let us know what you think in the comments below.
